Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Have you ever seen eyes like mine? Don’t they make you want to just hug me? I would love that so so much! My name is Hagrid (yes, I know – we are both big guys!), and I am just a complete sweetheart. I don’t mind my crate at all, but I would much prefer just lounging around with you. You know what I get the biggest kick doing? Shaking hands! That puts the biggest smile on my face! I also like to play chase with a ball, and I’m pretty good on a leash. I really am not asking for much: just a lot of love, some space to run around and a family I can shower with affection! I will be your best buddy forever, just like Harry Potter’s friend!
