Howdy folks.....my name is Skinner but perhaps my name should have been 'Shadow' 'cause I follow my foster mom around like her shadow. What can I say.....I'm such a sweet and affectionate boy and I simply adore my people!
My foster mom reports that I get along very well with my fur siblings which consists of another boxer, a poodle and two kitties. I must admit, I'm not really sure about the kitties...so I look at them when they get close but I never touch! There are no kids in my foster home. My foster mom says that I would probably do fine with kids as long as they respect my space. You should know that I have no teeth......so I really can't hurt anyone anyway.....not that I would. How do I eat, you ask? Well, as long as my food is soft, I'm fine....I've gained 15 pounds (which I desperately needed) since going into my foster home!
As you can tell, I'm an older boy so I like to sleep a lot; however, I still have a lot of life to live! I enjoy going for walks and car rides. I'm house broken using a doggie door at my leisure when I need to go out. When I first came to my foster mom, I was severely underweight..so much so that I'd lost a lot of muscle. As mentioned, I've gained a lot of weight and am where I should be. My foster mom is currently working with me to put some muscle back on! I'm absolutely thriving now and am ready to find that special forever home where I can be the best companion ever!
I am available through LSBR's forever foster program. To learn more about the forever foster program, email fosters@lsbr.org.
