Introducing Kalona........I was recently surrendered to Harris County Animal Shelter because I was in heat! It is apparent that I've had many litters of puppies though.........Well, needless to say, I've had my last litter!
I'm a friendly, 5 year old girl who is also dog friendly but I am no fan of those things they call 'kitties'. I'm in a great foster home and my foster mom says that because I am deaf, it would be great to find a home with a fur sibling that can show me the way......and be an awesome playmate! She also says that although I haven't been evaluated around kids, she thinks I'd be fabulous because I'm super easy-going! She also says that I'm a wonderful house guest! I'm already house broken and I am fine in a plastic crate (not a fan of a wire crate) but because I am such a wonderful house guest, I'm not crated in my foster home.
To hear my foster mom brag on me so much makes my heart smile! As you can see from my pics, I my prior life was hard but now I'm living the good life.....being the happy, fun-loving girl I was meant to be! I'm making up for lost time....love being around my people so I would love a home with a family that is home more than they're not home! Now I know what you're thinking.....deaf? Well, don't worry.....deaf dogs acclimate to hand signals and I'm eager to learn! Haven't you heard.......deaf dogs ROCK! My foster mom says that I've already learned 'sit', 'down' and I 'come' when signaled.
I'm ready to ROCK your world.......I'm sure that by meeting me, you will definitely want to take me home with you!
