Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Artie is one of two babies picked up on an isolated road near Chain 'O Lakes resort north of Cleveland. Someone had obviously dumped the momma (Maggie the blonde one) and a litter of puppies. Two puppies had been run over and killed and we were able to wrangle in the others and bring them home. Artie is the black pup and he is crate trained. You can tell he is just the sweetest boy!

Six-month-old Artie was picked up on an isolated road about an hour north of Houston where he had been dumped along with Maggie and her puppies. This handsome boy, who is of an unknown, but definitely mixed, heritage, weighs around 30 pounds. Artie is full of energy, adores attention and would be a great companion for any family.
