Like many of the dogs LSBR helps, Astro was alone, scared and sick -- and living on the streets. This young, flashy-fawn male boxer needs some TLC and proper medical care to get him back on top of his game. Astro has demodex mange (not contagious to humans or other dogs) and has developed a painful secondary bacteria infection on his paws and stomach. He currently is undergoing treatment for the skin condition as well as hookworms and roundworms. Astro will need some recovery time before he can be neutered. His behavior around cats and kids has not been evaluated. So far, he seems to do well with other dogs.
