Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Mandy is a pretty, two and one-half year old fawn female. Here is your dream girl: housetrained, good with children, and loves to play fetch, ride in cars, going for walks, and massages (she likes being on the receiving end)! Her owner has described Mandy as friendly, protective, shy, playful, smart, affectionate, and obedient. Like many dogs, Mandy is not crazy about loud noises, such as thunder or fireworks, but don’t call her a “scaredy-cat” (she’s not too fond of the feline species). A very sociable boxer, she prefers being with people or other dogs rather than being alone. Mandy just needs a new, loving home to go to – she would be a great fit with almost any family!
