Spanky is an adorable 4-year-old male boxer who was left tied to a fence of a rescue facility. He was emaciated and suffering from an old knee injury that requires surgery in order for him to regain full use of the leg. Though he still has the leg injury, Spanky is stronger and more confident than ever. He loves to play, is healthy (except for the leg injury) and has gone through training with one of LSBR's volunteers to ensure he's ready to become a successful adoption. Spanky gets along with other dogs and loves to play ball, alone or with friends, and to go for car rides. He walks well on a leash and knows the commands close, back and heel as well as sit, down, stay, check, curb, off, settle and come. Yes, he does seem to know it all! Spanky is also crate and house trained and very gentle with people ages nine and above. Spanky's training has helped him overcome his fear of men, and though he can be a bit apprehensive at first, he quickly warms up to them and shows off his fantastic personality. He is a wonderful dog who is looking for a home full of love. @ The Fritz.
