Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

I'm a beautiful, happy boy named Sonny, and I always look like I'm smiling. And I do smile a lot -- especially when I get attention, which I love! I'm a really sweet guy that loves people of all ages, but I have a special affection for kids and older folks. I'm pretty fond of female dogs, and I'm learning to hang out with other males, but I'm not quite ready to live with a cat yet. I'm crate and house trained, and really good on the leash (so please plan on taking me for lots of walks!). You can make my life complete by giving me a home - and doesn't that seem like the right thing to do?
