Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

My name is Justin and me and my three sisters, Taylor, Selena and Demi, are super fun, healthy and smart puppies. We have been blessed with an amazing boxer mix mama named Junie and a wonderful foster home with lots of other dogs to learn from and a child that loves to play with us.

Our mama has taught us to be grateful for all of our blessings. Apparently, we got off to a rough start in a shelter. We can't remember those days since we were so young but mama Junie reminds us of how blessed we are. She has taught us to be respectful of each other and of other dogs. We have enjoyed lots of doggy mentors in our foster home as well.

Our foster mom's daughter named us after popular teen celebrities. Her daughter gives us lots of love and attention.  Each of us has a unique personality. I come across as brave and bold and sometimes like to bully my sisters but when something new comes along, I am the first one to hang back. It's hard to admit but my sisters are more brave than me. Taylor loves the water and loves to play with toys. Selena loves to hang out with mama and older dogs. She could go to Harvard since she is so smart. She learned to bark first, climb on to the chair first and to potty outside first. Demi is our smallest sister and she is easy going and loves cuddling. All of us love to play with each other and enjoy chewing on sticks and balls.

We know how to run from our kennel to the back door to go outside to eat and potty. We never poop in our kennel. We still have a lot to learn but our mama and foster mom have given us a great foundation. Each of us is excited about finding a forever family that will love us, teach us and provide us a safe and happy home. Won't that home be with you?"
