Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

ADOPTION PENDING!

My name is Shasta and I am so thankful to my foster mom for springing me from the Galveston Co Animal Shelter......my days were so numbered there!  I'm a sweet and gentle 3ish year old boxer girl who is thrilled to be alive!

According to my foster mom, I'm calm and gentle and I walk very well on a leash!  She says I would do very well in a home with small children or older adults!  When I was pulled from the shelter, I was thrilled....you see, I was about 15 pounds underweight and filthy dirty.  When I got to my foster mom's home, I jumped into the bathtub.  I was SO ready for a bath....to be clean again!  

I'm doing very well with the other dogs in my foster home and I'm looking so forward to being a permanent member of a new family!  My foster mom has given me a new leash on life.....I take that as a beautiful sign that I have a wonderful new life ahead of me!
