Mana (now Lola)
Mana (now Lola)

We changed her name to Lola and yes, she a most definitely a huge part of the family. Her personality is fantastic. She is the most loving dog I have ever had. I can see how all of you would becoame attached to her. Thanks for taking care of her, and allowing us to raise her and give her a life.

TINKA (now Cleo)
TINKA (now Cleo)

My name is Cleo (formally known as Tinka). I was a 17th birthday present to my mommy Alison in July 2008 (an early birthday present). I have beautiful eyes like Cleopatra, thus my name Cleo. I had distemper while being quarantined with my canine family. My new mommy and grandma took me to the vet and took care of the problem. I got house broken very quickly .. my new mommy was very patient.

My new family also includes two dogs: my best friend Peanut a mini datschund, who thinks that she is my mommy. She cleans my ears, mouth, and face daily, so I do not slobber like most boxer. Sometimes it is a bit annoying. I let her think that she is the boss to make her feel good. The other one is an old 14 years old dog named Little Foot, another rescued dog. (actually all of us are rescued dogs). She does not want to play though because she is blind and old. I like to box her when she tries to find her way out to the backyard though. It's kind of fun :-). My favorite thing to do is digging up all the flowers and plants in the backyard. Grandma gets pretty upset about that, but she still loves me.

The birds fascinate me. I don't know how they can fly... maybe I'll try that sometimes. They totally distract me on my walks. The frogs in the backyard are fun to chase. Peanut taught me that. She is a good teacher... I learn tug of war from her, making the squeaky toy squeak. I can sit, shake hand, and I am also good on the leash (except when a bird is within my sight). I sit very still while getting my teeth brushed every morning. Life is good!

You can see by my writing that I am hyper, but everyone loves me because I am sweet, fun, and cute. And did I also mention adorable?

Thank you Lone Star Boxer Rescue for finding me a family. You rescued them. Woof Woof Woof.

Sincerely - Cleo Tinka Williams

Knox
Knox

I wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying Knox. I didn't know boxers could be so much fun! Everything I've read about them is definitely true. He loves his toys but when I'm in the study at the computer he settles down and takes a nap. Since I can't take him on a walk yet I've tried to play with him in the backyard a couple of times a day. He especially like to play in the mornings. His favorite game is keep away with his Wubba Kong. His indoor favorite toy is a smooth rubber ball I found at Target. He slobbers it up and pops it out of his mouth so that it bounces away. That way he can play catch all by himself. I've continued to keep him out of our bedroom and off the stairs. Neeka is even following his lead as far as the stairs are concerned. I've attached a picture of the two of them waiting for me to come back down.

I appreciate all the work you went through to train him in good manners. He's certainly a delight and I'm looking forward to many good years with him by my side.

GYPSY
GYPSY

Hope you are well! Just wanted to send you a couple of new pics of Gypsy...she is doing great! There is a alheziemer's nursing home up the street that we are going to begin visiting. I know she will bring smiles to the clients! I don't know if you remember Shella, but her great grandson, who is 18 months old, spends lots of time with Gypsy. He loves her and visaversa. He has been going through a temper tandrum period and throws his pacifier away, Gypsy picks it up and returns it to him. The day of the picture, Garrett wouldn't take it back, so Gypsy put it in her mouth and walked around the yard with it as if it was hers! Her winter outfit kept her warm during our ice storm (she did not like her barefeet on the icy grass). You are welcome to add this to her profile... she is the best thing that ever happened to me! She makes me laugh and she is extremely lovable. I can not tell you how much I love her and I again thank you for all you did to help me be able to have her! I hope you don't mind me keeping in touch once in awhile! Angela

Frenchy
Frenchy

Sugar “Suge” (formerly known as Frenchy) joined our family on February 21, 2009. What an exciting day for her, her boxer brother Sonny and us! She and Sonny became fast friends and love to run and play together in the sunshine. Suge may be petite but she is fierce competition at tug-of-war! She loves to give and receive hugs and kisses and snooze on her bed. We think Suge picked up some survival skills early in life… she is a stealthy little thief! We find all kinds of things in her crate including shoes, shirts and toilet paper rolls. Suge is a sweet, silly boxer and we are thrilled to provide her with a safe, fun home and lots of loveJ

Thank you Lone Star Boxer Rescue for bringing Suge into our lives!

Sincerely, Allison & David Hamilton
