Aja (now Zoe)
Aja (now Zoe)

Hello! It's been a little over a year since we adopted Zoe (then Aja). She has been everything we could have wished for and more. I think Zoe knew she was at her forever home as soon as she walked in the door, because she made herself right at home. She is such a happy girl! She LOVES people, and can't contain her boxer wiggle when anyone comes over. She brings a smile to everyone she comes in contact with. She has made several friends, human and canine. She loves going to the dog park and heading straight for the mud puddles! She loves going for car rides and road trips and sticking her head out of the window and sleeping in the back. At home she enjoys sitting on the patio, wrestling, and taking it easy in her donut bed. We recently had a daughter, almost 5 months ago, and Zoe has been wonderful with the baby. Although Zoe is very curious, (as any boxer would be), she is VERY gentle and patient with our daughter. I think they will be the best of friends as our daughter get's older. Thanks for all your help in finding us a great addition to our family!

Stefan (now Maximus)
Stefan (now Maximus)

Stefan has been re-named Maximus! He has made himself right at home with Daisy. Sleeping on the same couch, eating together, playing outside together, walking & running around in the fields together. He loves rides in the car. He is a great eater! He did wonderful with Boomer the cat. They play together all 3 of them. He has a very calm personality. He did great at my office & got lots of love & treats. That is the only reason Daisy likes to go to the office. He enjoys hanging out on the back porch with Daisy in the chair that we have there. They watch the neighborhood life go by & let everyone know they are happy to see them walk by with two short barks. He got a treat from Dennis the mail man who was the first to welcome him home.

So he is happy to have found his home. He is doing really well. We are happy to see that he is comfortable. We will be posting pictures on our facebook page soon & I will do my best to send some your way.

Thanks to Brenda (LSBR foster) for taking such good care of him for us.

Rumor (now Chloe)
Rumor (now Chloe)

Rumor (now Chloe) is doing great. She has gained 3.3 pounds and has adjusted to her new home great. She loves hanging out with us. When we are in the pool she loves to lay in the shade in the grass, when we mow she will walk the entire yard with us, she is always the hit of the cul-de-sac when we hang out with the neighbors. We made our first road trip this past weekend and she did fantastic!! Slept, hung her head out the window, slept, stood on the console to watch out the front window, slept…well you get the picture. We visited my family where she was the only girl among my parent’s three male large dogs. She was the hit of the farm. She was a bit of a flirt and loved instigating chase. She won the race against all of them, but I think mostly loved being able to run! We were also there for my nephew’s 2nd Bday party, where there were 25 friends and family members funneling in and out. She again was the hit of the party. Greeted everyone at the door, ensured that the floor was completely clean, let all ages pet her, and of course slept…thank you both for bringing Chloe into our lives! She is absolutely wonderful.

Junie
Junie

Junie came into our lives just a month ago but it feels like she’s been here forever. She has been such a great addition to our lives and we are so grateful to have her. From her ever-loving presence to her undeniably sweet character, she has won everyone who’s ever met her over, including us. Almost everyone in our neighborhood knows her and she knows how to work it when they’re around so she can get a treat or some love. Her little happy dance when she knows she’s about to be walked is the cutest ever, and it’s so adorable to watch her when she gets excited. When we adopted her, she was still pretty skinny but with some TLC, she has gained her weight back. She’s as gorgeous as ever! Thanks so much to everyone at LSBR for helping us through this process. We want to especially thank Vicki Veatch for being such a wonderful resource and an excellent foster mom to Junie. Everyone did a wonderful job and God bless you all for everything you do for these dogs.

Mylei
Mylei

We want to send a huge thank you to Lone Star Boxer Rescue for bringing Mylei into our family. In just a short time, she has enriched our lives & rescued us from the loss of our two 13 year old boxers this year. Mylei has the perfect blend of affection, energy & intelligence to have immediately won our hearts & become a treasured member of the family. She loves to play, take walks with us around the neighborhood & when relaxing she stays close…we hope having sweet boxer dreams now that she has found her forever home. Her favorite toys are a furry beaver, Kong bone & new monkey pull rope (but in truth we think she imagines the guinea pigs might be more fun if they were available - she peeks at them in meerkat pose.) The boys love playing fetch with her inside & running around with her in her new back yard. She is trying hard to get to know kitty too & making progress. Mylei is ready to play, but kitty is still trying to show her who’s boss - they can lay down in the same room now & will be good friends in due course. Her cousin Garbo, a young Great Dane, visited to welcome her to the family & is officially her new favorite play mate. She has also made a trip this week to meet her new vet who proclaimed her an absolute gem (which we already knew). Whether fetching a ball, shaking hands, playing with her toys or simply snuggling up with us, we love her dearly. Mylei is awesome & we are so lucky to have found her! Again, many thanks to all… especially Paula who helped us throughout our (great) adoption experience, as well as Ray & Stacy who were the wonderful foster parents who ultimately brought us together. Kindest regards – Jeff, Jennifer, Quin & Ty
