Miles

Hi Debbie, I hope that you are doing well and had a good holiday season. It's been a while since I sent you an update about Miles and how he's doing, so I wanted to drop you a line. Miles has settled in very well and really is as close of a perfect fit with us as they come :) A while back we got a dog door which he mastered in a couple days and he uses that when we are gone during the day. We don't crate him, but he keeps to the first floor during until we get home. Miles now has more beds around the house than we do! He has a nice dog bed on each floor (3) and then an additional comfy mat in the cabin/dog house that we put outside for him. Some of his favorite things to do include chewing his bone, laying in the sun on our balcony while Luis and I are out there reading, greeting the other dogs in our neighborhood on our walks and of course being petted. He doesn't bark at all, but when he's excited he will give us a bit of the boxer howl, which is hilarious. These days we see lots of tail wagging and he is excited to see the dogs he knows around the neighborhood which is great. He is definately more interested in human affection than other dogs though, so I think he enjoys having Luis and me to himself! Miles doesn't leave my side, he follows me pretty much everywhere, so as you mentioned I've grown accustomed to having a boxer shadow me around the house :) He has a fan club whereever he goes because he is so calm and the long tongue amazes everyone. He's been really great and we've hardly ever had any problems since that first week when he was just scared and didn't know what was going on. I hope things are going well for you.
